ESA BIC Estonia open call
ESA BIC Estonia offers €60,000 in equity free funding and incubation to space tech startups in Estonia. Applications are open, with the next selection in November.
ESA BIC Estonia is the European Space Agency business incubation centre in Estonia, run in Tartu and Tallinn. The apply page says applications are open and are reviewed on a rolling basis, with intake rounds in spring and autumn. The home page says the next selection deadline is in November.
Selected startups get €60,000 in BIC funding, paid in tranches tied to milestones. The money can cover research and development, prototyping, market validation and business development. A business development loan of up to €50,000 is also offered. No equity is taken.
The incubation lasts one to two years and includes workspace, coaching and milestone planning.
Startups can apply if they use space technology, satellite data or solutions derived from ESA work. They must be incorporated in Estonia or be able to incorporate there, and need at least two founders. The programme is aimed at pre seed and early stage teams.
To apply, submit a cover letter, an incubation proposal, a business plan and appendices through the Dealum form. Shortlisted teams pitch to a panel of industry, ESA and investment experts.
