CHARTED Fund 2: Community Activities
CHARTED pays UK research technical professionals up to £5,000 for community events and training. The next deadline is 15 October 2026.
CHARTED Fund 2: Community Activities pays up to £5,000 per activity. The fund page says £150,000 is available across the CHARTED project. The fund is open now. Submissions are reviewed about every two months. Deadlines fall on 15 April 2026 and then every second month, so the next deadline is 15 October 2026.
The money supports events and activities for digital research technical professionals in the UK. That includes local networks, workshops, hackathons, mentoring schemes, and training that is not already easy to find. It reimburses costs such as room hire and catering. Requests to cover staff time or equipment are not eligible. Applicants need approval from their institution for the time they spend on the work.
UK based researchers and digital research technical professionals can apply, including people at universities, UK nonprofits, and freelance trainers, educators or community managers in this sector. The fund can also pay for non UK collaborators to come to the UK. Awards cover 100 percent of full economic cost.
Applications go through the Good Grants platform. Register, sign in, and complete the online form. CHARTED asks for a description of the activity, expected attendance, a cost breakdown, and how the work helps the community and the aims of the project. Questions go to charted@drtp-skills.ac.uk.
