The Open Science Infrastructure programme from Open Science NL, part of the Dutch research funder NWO, is opening a second funding round. The pre announcement was published on July 16, 2026 and the call for proposals is expected in October 2026.
The total budget for this call is 17 million euros. Applicants may request up to 1.7 million euros per proposal.
The programme funds proposals that improve and further develop existing digital infrastructures that enable open science. In this second round the funder puts emphasis on collaboration and the formation of consortia.
Key dates: letters of intent and registration for a mandatory workshop are due on November 3, 2026. The workshop takes place on December 2, 2026. Final proposals are due on April 13, 2027.
The pre announcement does not list eligibility rules. The funder says the opportunity to apply only becomes available after the call for proposals is published in the Dutch government gazette, the Staatscourant.
