Kleiner Perkins Fellows 2027: engineering and design tracks

Summer fellowship for engineering and design students at a Kleiner Perkins portfolio startup in the Bay Area. Apply by 31 January 2027.

The Kleiner Perkins Fellows Program, or KP Fellows, places students at a Kleiner Perkins portfolio company for the summer. The 2027 cohort has two tracks: Engineering Fellow and Design Fellow.

Fellows work directly with a growing startup and are mentored by experienced engineers. The summer also includes a founder speaker series, workshops on starting a company and community events. After the program, fellows join the alumni network and get ongoing support from Kleiner Perkins. The postings do not state pay or a stipend.

For the engineering track, Kleiner Perkins looks for students with a degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or a related field. For the design track, it looks for students in product design, interaction design, HCI, visual design, computer science or a related field. In both tracks applicants should have launched a meaningful product or project from scratch, be self starters, and hold a position of influence in a campus group or other program.

Fellows must be available to work in the San Francisco Bay Area during their summer internship.

Applications are open now and close at 11:59 pm Pacific Time on 31 January 2027. Kleiner Perkins reviews them on a rolling basis. Apply through the KP Fellows job board, which lists both tracks.
