Pro Helvetia Game Design Emerging Talents: trade fair participation grant

Pro Helvetia gives emerging Swiss game designers up to CHF 4,000 to attend a trade fair or market event abroad. Open all year.

The Pro Helvetia Game Design Emerging Talents trade fair grant helps young Swiss game designers attend a trade fair or market event outside Switzerland. The aim is international visibility and access to the global market.

The grant is up to CHF 4,000. It covers booth rental, festival passes, transport and insurance, and economy travel. Accommodation is not covered. Designers with childcare duties can claim up to CHF 250 per week for childcare or for the travel of a child and a carer.

Emerging Talents are professional game designers whose game design education or company founding is less than 7 years old.

The application needs a project description, the goals of the trip with a business plan and named meetings, a cost breakdown with a financial plan, and proof of Emerging Talent status. Apply through the Pro Helvetia portal.

Applications are accepted all year. A decision comes within eight weeks, and the project can start eight weeks after submission at the earliest. Pro Helvetia looks for clear trade fair goals and for an original, feasible, new and marketable project.
