Canada Media Fund Iteration Program 2026/27
Up to $350,000 CAD for new content in successful CMF funded interactive projects. Opens October 28, 2026, first come, first served until December 8.
The Canada Media Fund Iteration Program is a pilot that funds new content for interactive digital media projects the CMF has already supported. It is meant for projects that did well in the market and want to reach new and returning audiences.
The CMF pays up to 75% of eligible costs or $350,000 (CAD), whichever is lower. Projects funded through this program can receive up to $1.85 million in total from the CMF. New work must include significant new content, features or levels. It can also cover porting to a new platform and localization for new language markets.
The project must have received money from a CMF interactive production program before, such as the Innovation and Experimentation Program or the Commercial Projects Program. It must have reached $500,000 in gross revenue or 20,000 units sold or downloaded. It must still be on sale, its earlier file must be closed, and it must still be inside its seven year CMF reporting term. Each company can send one application per fiscal year.
The program opens on October 28, 2026 and closes on December 8, 2026. Funding is first come, first served until the money runs out or the closing date passes. Applications go through Telefilm Canada's Dialogue portal with a short proposal, a business and audience plan, and a budget for the new work. The new work should be released within 18 months and be available in Canada.
