Creative Saskatchewan Marketing Grant 2026/27: Digital Games Major Stream

Creative Saskatchewan pays up to CAD 25,000 toward marketing a Saskatchewan digital game. The major stream deadline for games is 18 November 2026.

The Creative Saskatchewan Marketing Grant supports marketing and publicity that help a creative project become more visible and sell more. Its major stream is for larger marketing projects, and the digital game development sector has its own major stream deadline.

The grant can pay for a publicist or marketing professional, marketing materials, branding, website design, social media and advertising, distribution, market research, promotional travel and shipping. In house marketing fees at industry rates are allowed with a breakdown of hours and a reason for doing the work in house. Approved projects get up to 50% of the approved budget, to a maximum of $25,000 per applicant per fiscal year.

Applicants must meet the Creative Saskatchewan General Guidelines. For games and other interactive digital media, the applicant must own at least 50% of the project copyright and show a recoupment structure with a revenue share. The activity must support a project that would meet the criteria of a Creative Saskatchewan production grant. Work funded by SK Arts or SaskCulture is not eligible, and the same project cannot apply to both the major and micro streams.

The major stream opened on 22 April 2026. The digital games deadline is 18 November 2026 at 4:00 PM Saskatchewan time. Applications go through the Creative Saskatchewan grant management system and must use the budget template, plus the travel itinerary template when travel is included. Results come about 10 weeks after the deadline.

Assessors look for a realistic marketing plan that fits the team and budget, a clear audience and measurable goals such as sales or audience growth. Creative Saskatchewan suggests booking a consultation with a program advisor and applying well before the deadline.
