NSW Digital Games Rebate 2025/26
Screen NSW pays a 10% rebate on NSW development spend for digital games with at least AU$350,000 of NSW costs. Apply by 31 December 2026.
The NSW Digital Games Rebate 2025/26 is a Screen NSW program that pays back 10% of the money a studio spends on game development in New South Wales. Rebates start from $35,000.
A game needs at least AU$350,000 of Qualifying NSW Expenditure. Several games cannot be bundled to reach that threshold. The game must be fully digital and intended for public release. Gambling, advertising and training games are excluded.
NSW developers can apply. Interstate and international developers can also apply if they engage a NSW developer. Applicants need an ABN, and only one company may apply for each game. Government agencies cannot apply.
Applications go through the Screen NSW SmartyGrants form and are assessed in the order received. The current form closes at 11pm AEDT on 31 December 2026.
