Zcash Coinholder Directed Retroactive Grants: Q4 2026 round

The Zcash Coinholder Directed Retroactive Grants program pays for completed work on Zcash. The Q4 2026 call for proposals runs from 30 October to 13 November 2026.

The Zcash Coinholder Directed Retroactive Grants Program has set dates for its Q4 2026 round. The Financial Privacy Foundation (FPF), which runs the program, posted them with the Q3 results on 29 September 2026. The call for proposals runs from 30 October to 13 November 2026 at 20:00 UTC. FPF says the dates are subject to minor adjustments.

This is a retroactive program. It funds work that is already finished and can be checked in public. Applications for planned or partially completed work are not considered. You can submit your own completed work, or nominate a person, company or project that you think should get a grant. Grants are valued in USD and paid in shielded ZEC, so the amount received can change with the ZEC price. KYC is required for grants above $50,000. The page does not state a maximum grant size.

To apply, fill in the proposal template on GitHub. Then copy the completed proposal into a new thread in the Community Grants, Retroactive Grants section of the Zcash Community Forum, so the community can comment on it.

After the call closes, a review period runs from 16 November to 16 December 2026. Zcash coinholders then vote from 17 to 29 December 2026 and decide which proposals get funded.

In the Q3 round, coinholders funded 17 proposals. They included wallet integrations, payment tools, bug bounty rewards for critical vulnerabilities, formal verification work and community videos.
