CNC Video Game Fund (FAJV): January 2027 deadline
The French CNC video game fund pays up to half the cost of writing, prototyping or producing a game. The next deadline is 18 January 2027.
The CNC Video Game Fund (Fonds d'aide au jeu vidéo, FAJV) is a selective grant from the French national centre for film and moving image. It supports three stages of a game: writing, preproduction of a prototype, and production. The aids are paid as subsidies and can be combined.
Preproduction aid is capped at 50% of prototyping costs. Production aid is capped at 50% of the production costs of the game. Total public aid for a project cannot go above 50% of its final cost. The page does not give a fixed euro maximum.
Writing aid is for individual authors. They must be French, EU or EEA nationals, or live in France, and have training or experience in games. The project must be written in French. Preproduction and production aid is for studios, and a studio that receives production aid must keep the IP of its game.
The page lists the next submission deadlines: 18 January 2027, 27 April 2027 and 20 September 2027. Application files are downloaded from the fund page. An expert commission meets about two months after each deadline, and applicants hear the result by email within 72 hours of the commission.
