Hackathon Opens 30 Oct

Kiroween 2026: Kiro hackathon with $100,000 in cash prizes

Kiroween 2026 is an online Halloween themed hackathon for Kiro builders with $100,000 in cash prizes. Submissions run from October 30 to December 4, 2026.

Kiroween 2026 is the second edition of the Halloween themed hackathon run by Kiro, the AI IDE, on Devpost. The organizer says to expect $100,000 in cash prizes. The detailed prize table will be published when submissions open.

The theme categories are the same as last year. Resurrection is about bringing dead tech back to life. Frankenstein is about joining technologies that do not normally fit together into one app. Skeleton Crew asks for a lean code template shown through two different applications. Costume Contest is about a polished, spooky user interface.

The hackathon is online and open to people above the legal age of majority in their country, in all countries and territories except the standard exceptions. Only new projects count. You can register now and enter alone or as a team.

Full rules, submission requirements, judging criteria, prizes and bonus challenges will be released on Friday, October 30, 2026, when submissions open. The deadline is Friday, December 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM Pacific time.
