Vultr: Agent Rush Hackathon
Vultr and lablab.ai offer a $9,000 cash prize pool plus $5,000 in credits for sandboxed AI agents that do real work. Online build November 3 to 8, 2026.
The Vultr: Agent Rush Hackathon is a hybrid event from lablab.ai and Vultr with a prize pool of $9,000 in cash plus $5,000 in Vultr credits. First place gets $5,000 and $3,000 in credits, second place $3,000 and $1,000 in credits, and third place $1,000 and $1,000 in credits. Every participant gets $200 in free Vultr credits to build on.
The main challenge is called Blast Radius Zero. Teams build a web based agent that performs real work, such as writing and running code or operating a real browser, with every action contained inside a sandbox running on Vultr. The system should plan a task, send it to an isolated execution environment and return verifiable output. Projects should show multi step agentic workflows, real executed results and a production style web application, all running on Vultr infrastructure.
Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of previous AI or coding experience. Teams consist of 1 to 6 people, and participants can find teammates on the lablab.ai dashboard or Discord server. To join, register on the lablab.ai platform and the lablab.ai Discord server and click the Enroll button on the event page.
The online build phase runs from November 3 to 8, 2026, with a kickoff on November 3. The onsite phase takes place in Salt Lake City on November 8. Participants approved for the onsite experience can present their project live, but travel and accommodation are not covered.
Submissions need a public GitHub repository, a demo application, a video presentation and a slide deck. Judges score the application of technology, the presentation, the business value and the originality of the solution.
