Screen NSW Screen and Digital Games Travel Fund 2026/27

NSW game developers and screen practitioners can get up to A$10,000 for travel to markets, festivals and industry events. Applications close 30 June 2027.

The Screen and Digital Games Travel Fund from Screen NSW helps game developers and screen practitioners in New South Wales pay for travel to events. These include festivals, markets, conventions, conferences, awards and trade missions in Australia and abroad.

There are four streams. International Festival Travel and International Market Travel give up to A$5,000 per person, or up to A$6,000 for two or more team members. Domestic Market Travel gives up to A$1,500 per person, or up to A$2,000 for a team. Partner Initiatives give up to A$10,000, with caps set for each initiative. The money can cover flights, accommodation, ground travel, insurance, per diems and event registration, including exhibition costs.

Applicants must be based in NSW, hold an ABN and be Australian citizens or residents, and the event must be on the Eligible Travel Destinations List. For international market travel, game developers need at least one market ready game. Domestic market travel is for emerging and mid career practitioners with a market ready game or screen project.

Applications are made in SmartyGrants. The fund opened on 1 July 2026 and closes on 30 June 2027 at 11:00 pm, and applications are assessed on a rolling basis. Screen NSW aims to tell applicants the outcome four to six weeks after it confirms receipt of a complete application.

Assessors look at the merit of the opportunity (40%), the applicant's track record (30%), the cultural and economic benefit to NSW (20%) and participation and diversity (10%). Games questions go to pdvgames@screen.nsw.gov.au.
