Rocket Pool Round 42 GMC grants
Rocket Pool is taking Round 42 grant applications until 7 November 2026 at 23:59 UTC. Applicants propose their own budget and scope.
Rocket Pool Round 42 is the Grants Management Committee call for grant applications from 7 October 2026 to 7 November 2026. Only applications posted in the official grant thread and timestamped by 7 November 2026 at 23:59 UTC are scored in this round. Later posts move to the next period.
A grant is for work the applicant will do. A separate bounty thread covers open ended goals that anyone could claim, and a separate retrospective thread covers work already finished. The committee has not set a fixed award size. Each applicant states the USD amount and the payment schedule they want. The committee can pay only a recipient address and does not accept invoices.
The committee scores how far a proposal furthers its goals, whether the named people can do the work, and how large the benefit is relative to the cost. The goals are to make it easier or more attractive to become a node operator, run a node and mint rETH, hold or use rETH, and improve life for the protocol and its community.
Copy the template in the thread and post it there. Keep discussion in the Round 42 community thread. Scoring is due 24 November 2026. Finalisation runs 25 to 28 November 2026. Awards are due to be announced on 29 November 2026.
Quick answers
Can this thread fund work that is already finished?
No. Grants are for work the applicant will do. Finished work belongs on the Round 42 retrospective thread.
Can the committee pay an invoice?
No. The committee can send a grant only to a recipient address.
Must the result be open source?
The template asks for an open licence such as MIT, GPL, Apache, or CC BY. If some parts will not be open, the application should say which parts and why.
