Rocket Pool Round 42 GMC bounties

Rocket Pool is taking Round 42 bounty proposals until 7 November 2026 at 23:59 UTC. Proposers set the reward they think the work is worth.

Rocket Pool Round 42 is the Grants Management Committee call for bounty applications from 7 October 2026 to 7 November 2026. Post proposals only in the official bounty thread. Only posts timestamped by 7 November 2026 at 23:59 UTC count for this round. Later posts move to the next period.

A bounty is an open ended goal. The person who writes the proposal does not have to do the work. Anyone may later claim the reward if they complete it. That is the difference from a grant, which is for work the applicant will do. The committee has not set a fixed prize. Each proposal states how much the work is worth in USD.

The committee scores how far a completed bounty would further its goals, whether someone is likely to finish it, and how large the benefit is relative to the cost. The goals are to make it easier or more attractive to become a node operator, run a node and mint rETH, hold or use rETH, and improve life for the protocol and its community. The template also asks whether the output should be under an open source licence.

Copy the templates in the thread. Keep questions in the Round 42 community discussion thread. Scoring is due 24 November 2026. Finalisation runs 25 to 28 November 2026. Awards are due to be announced on 29 November 2026.

Quick answers

Does the person who writes the proposal have to do the work?

No. A bounty is an open ended goal. Anyone may later complete it and claim the reward.

How detailed does the proposal need to be?

Brief answers and estimates or ranges are fine. The template says answers do not need to be highly detailed.

Can one bounty pay more than one team?

The template asks you to choose a structure, including a single payout, milestones, or multiple payouts to multiple teams.
