TUM Blockchain & AI Hackathon 2026 in Munich

In person hackathon in Munich on 30 and 31 October 2026 for blockchain and AI builders, with €10,000 in prizes. Apply on Devfolio by 29 October.

The TUM Blockchain & AI Hackathon is an in person hackathon run by TUM Blockchain Club. It takes place on 30 and 31 October 2026 at the House of Communication in Munich, Germany, as part of TUM Blockchain Conference and Hackathon 26.

The site lists €10,000 in prizes: €4,000 from the BSV Association and €6,000 from Cardano. Track briefs and the full prize breakdown are still to be published, and the organizers say the pool is growing.

The theme is blockchain and AI. The Devfolio page names agentic payments as the focus: infrastructure and apps that let AI agents pay and transact safely onchain. It is a 30 hour build sprint with about 200 builders on site, mentor office hours, an overnight build, live demos and judging.

Anyone can apply, from any country, and you do not need to be a TUM student. Solo builders are welcome and teams can have up to 5 people. Some programming and blockchain experience is recommended, and workshops and mentors are there to help.

Each team member applies on Devfolio. Applications close on 29 October 2026 at 12:00 UTC. Building starts on 30 October at 10:00 and submissions close on 31 October at 14:00. You submit a working demo, a public code repository, a short demo video and a short write up.

The organizers say judging will focus on technical execution, originality, use of partner technology and real world impact. The exact criteria and the judges will be announced before the event.
