The Decentralize AI Hackathon is run by HackerNoon with Nosana, Arweave and MEXC. It offers a total prize pool of $51,750 or more, plus $35,000 in AI compute credits for participants. The theme is open AI infrastructure built on decentralized compute, permanent storage and verifiable systems.
The hackathon is open to developers, researchers and startups. The organizer does not list any restrictions on country or team size.
Entries are blog posts. To take part, you write a post on HackerNoon about what you built and tag it with the relevant topics, such as decentralized AI, AI infrastructure or GPU cloud. You then claim Nosana compute credits to start building. The first 500 participants receive $70 in Nosana credits each.
The event runs in two rounds. Round 1 covers June to October 2026 and round 2 covers November 2026 to February 2027. The whole period runs from June 1, 2026 to February 27, 2027, and you can enter during either round.
Judges shortlist posts by readership and quality and then vote on the top posts in each round. Fifteen winners share the prizes. A separate $450 prize pool goes to winners who publish a follow up post about how they used the credits.
