The XRPL AI & Fintech Hackathon NYC is a 36 hour build sprint in Midtown Manhattan on 24 and 25 October 2026. XRPL Commons hosts it with the XRPL Foundation and Swell. It takes place the weekend before Swell, the Ripple conference.
Teams compete for $40,000+ in prizes. The event page says this includes sponsored track prizes that can be stacked. It also mentions fast track access to grants and incubation. Partners named on the page include Ripple, Mastercard, Ledger, AWS and Quicknode.
There are four tracks. Agentic Finance is for AI agents that pay, earn and transact onchain. Lending & Borrowing is for apps on the new XRPL Lending Protocol and Single Asset Vaults. Protocol Innovation is C++ and systems work on the ledger itself, after a 3 day Core Dev Bootcamp on 20 to 22 October. Why Not is an open lane for any XRPL idea.
The organizers invite developers, product leads, designers and finance professionals. You register on the Luma event page, and each registration needs approval from the host. The page does not give a registration deadline or a team size.
Judging happens at the final demo on 25 October. Teams then present their projects to Ripple, institutions and investors during the week of Swell.
