Joules Accelerator Cohort 18
Joules Accelerator takes six grid technology startups into a free three month program. Cohort 18 applications close on 30 November 2026.
The Joules Accelerator runs two cohorts a year, with six advanced grid startups in each. Founders join a three month program with industry, utility, and subject matter advisors. Joules introduces partners for possible pilot deployments and gives utility feedback and chances to pitch to its network.
Cohort 17 was announced at Future Grid 26 and started on 17 August. Applications for Cohort 18 are open now through 30 November. The page says the top 25 applications are shared with the network, which then selects six. Cohort 18 will be announced by the end of the year and will start in early 2027.
Joules looks for early stage companies from pre seed to Series A, with a technology readiness level between four and eight, that improve affordability, resilience, and speed to power. It also wants a strong founding team, traction, and a product or service that can scale. The page lists what startups receive as free programming, fast engagement, warm introductions, pilot connections, featured events, and adoption support. It does not state an investment amount.
The application is on the Joules apply page and should take less than 20 minutes. The page says the program has worked with startups from more than 15 countries.
