MedTech Innovator Accelerator 2027
Five month nonprofit accelerator for medtech, diagnostics and digital health startups, with $700,000+ in prize capital. Apply by 1 December 2026.
The MedTech Innovator Accelerator 2027 is a five month program run by MedTech Innovator, a nonprofit accelerator. It is for companies building medical devices, diagnostics and digital health products.
Companies get mentor matching, office hours, access to legal, regulatory, reimbursement and clinical experts, and introductions to strategic partners and investors. The cohort competes for more than $700,000 in prize capital across four competitions. Early stage companies compete for $350,000 at the Grand Finals at The MedTech Conference, and mid stage companies compete for $250,000 at the Finals.
Companies from anywhere in the world can apply if the US is a target market. They should be at early to mid stage, with clinical validation underway or in sight, and founders or C suite leaders must be able to take part for all five months. Optional specialty tracks are offered with the American Heart Association, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Vantage program.
To apply, create a company profile on the Innovator Portal and complete the application before 1 December 2026. Applying is free. Applications go through Radar, a review in several stages. Selected companies pitch live in March or April 2027, and decisions come in late May 2027.
An online info session is planned for 27 October 2026 at 12 pm Eastern Time.
Quick answers
Is there a program fee?
Yes. Selected companies pay $15,000 in cash or through a $50K SAFE note. Scholarships can cover a large part of the cost, and applying is free.
Do I need to relocate?
No. A cofounder or senior leader must attend two in person events: the Innovator Summit in Los Angeles in June 2027 and The MedTech Conference in San Francisco on 3 to 6 October 2027.
Can very early companies apply?
The program is for teams with a clear clinical use case and development underway. Teams still at concept or before a prototype are asked to apply later.
