CoW Grants Program (CoW DAO)
CoW DAO funds developer tools and new apps on CoW Protocol from a 500,000 xDAI budget. Proposals go on the forum at any time until January 2027.
The CoW Grants Program funds work that helps the CoW Protocol ecosystem grow. It runs under the mandate CIP-82, which CoW DAO approved in January 2026. The mandate gives the program operating authority through 31 January 2027.
The budget is 500,000 xDAI and about 6,550,314 COW, with a further 4,990,000 COW set aside for volume incentives. Funds are released every quarter from a treasury on Ethereum mainnet. Grants can be milestone based, time based, a mix of the two, or volume grants.
The current focus areas are developer onboarding and enablement, strategic ecosystem alignment, and new applications on CoW such as programmatic orders, CoW AMM and cross chain use.
To apply, post a proposal in the CoW Grants Program section of the CoW forum using the grant application template. Answer the feedback you get, then submit the proposal to Snapshot for a vote that lasts three days. After approval a steward is assigned, and payments are made monthly after a technical review of each milestone.
Proposals are judged on strategic alignment, measurable impact, feasibility and technical expertise. New applications and committee replies appeared on the forum in September 2026.
