Agentic Dollars on Bitcoin hackathon 2026
RGB Protocol pays a €4,000 first prize for local AI apps that move dollars you hold yourself, built in Turin. Apply by 3 October 2026.
Agentic Dollars on Bitcoin is a two day hackathon from RGB Protocol at BLOX in Turin on 17 and 18 October 2026. The first prize is €4,000 and a place in the CypherTank finals in Lugano. Second prize is €1,500. Third prize is €500. Tether is the main sponsor. Mentors from the WDK and QVAC teams are on site both days.
The brief is local AI, payments, and wallets for digital dollars you hold yourself. Every project must use RGB on Bitcoin and QVAC so the model runs on the device. Tether WDK is optional and can earn bonus points. Tracks named on the page are payments and checkout, self custody dollar apps, private financial tools such as budgeting and fraud alerts, and agents that propose an action for a person to approve.
You do not need to know Bitcoin. About 70 people are selected. You can apply solo and be matched, or come as a team of two to four. Each person on a team fills in their own form. The hackathon is free. Lunch on Saturday, a coffee break, and breakfast on Sunday are covered. Travel and a place to stay are not.
Applications close on 3 October 2026. Tutorials were due on 24 September. Selection runs from 4 to 12 October. A live technical session for confirmed participants is on 13 October. Building starts at 09:00 on Saturday 17 October and stops at 15:00 on Sunday 18 October, with pitches from 16:00. Judges score RGB use, on device AI, what was built during the weekend, whether the project solves a real problem, and whether someone else can follow the flow. Only work done at the hackathon is judged.
