Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg games funding: October 27, 2026 deadline

Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg funds games of all genres, from casual titles to large independent productions and debuts. Prototype development, production and DLCs are eligible. The next application deadline is October 27, 2026, for the first funding committee meeting of 2027.

The funding is an interest free loan that is repaid only from the game's revenues. Prototype loans usually cover 50% and at most 80% of development costs, normally up to €300,000. Production loans cover up to 50% of eligible costs, normally up to €600,000 per project.

Game developers and independent producers can apply. You need a seat, branch or office in Berlin or Brandenburg by the first payout. Each applicant can send only one application per funding session.

A meeting with a funding executive is mandatory before you apply. Send a one pager about six weeks before the deadline, then hold the interview with the one pager, a budget and a financing plan. Interviews for this round run until October 13, 2026. Access to the application portal is given only after the interview.

Results for this round are expected in calendar week 5 of 2027.
