Exponential Science call for project proposals: up to $15,000

Exponential Science runs an open call for project proposals with up to 15,000 USD per project. Successful applicants also join the organisation as Exponential Science Fellows.

The call is aimed at work at the meeting point of blockchain and AI, cryptography and Hashgraph technology. Named topics of interest are real world asset tokenization, decentralized identity, an AI trust layer on blockchain, and token based financial instruments. Work that crosses fields and has clear value for society or industry is encouraged.

Applicants normally hold a PhD in a field such as computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering or economics. People with substantial industry experience may also apply, joint applications from academia and industry are welcome, and PhD students may take part under supervision.

A proposal is one PDF with the project plan of at most three pages, an itemised budget of at most one page, and the CVs of the lead researcher and any collaborators. It goes through the online form.

Submissions are taken all year. Review usually takes about a month, projects start within a month of approval, and funding runs for six to twelve months with payments released against progress and deliverables.
