Hugging Face community GPU grants
Hugging Face covers the GPU hardware cost of selected Spaces. Maintainers apply from the hardware settings of their own Space and there is no deadline.
Hugging Face runs community GPU grants for people who build demos on its Spaces platform. A grant covers the cost of a GPU hardware upgrade for a Space that would otherwise be billed by the minute.
The docs put it plainly: if you have a Space but need help covering the GPU hardware upgrade costs, you can apply for a community GPU grant and see if yours makes the cut. Hugging Face says it likes to help people with an innovative Space.
Spaces can run on a range of hardware, from a free CPU tier up to Nvidia T4, L4, L40S, A10G and A100 cards. Paid hardware is billed by the minute while a Space is starting or running, which is the cost a grant removes. Hugging Face does not publish a fixed grant amount.
There is no separate portal and no deadline. The application sits in the hardware settings of your own Space repository, in the lower left corner under the sleep time settings.
