ARC Prize 2026

ARC Prize 2026 is a competition with $2M in prizes across three tracks. The ARC-AGI-3 track is an interactive reasoning benchmark with prizes for the top performing AI agents. The ARC-AGI-2 track is a static reasoning benchmark with prizes for the top scores. The Paper Prize rewards papers that advance the understanding of how to reach strong performance on ARC-AGI.

Anyone can take part. Solutions are submitted through the designated Kaggle competition for each track. Internet access is not available during Kaggle evaluation, so systems that call an external API are not allowed.

The competition started on March 25, 2026. ARC-AGI-3 has a second milestone on September 30, 2026. Submissions are due on November 2, 2026 and papers on November 8, 2026. Results are announced on December 4, 2026.

To be eligible for a prize, all code and methods authored by the submitter must be made open source under a permissive public domain licence such as CC0 or MIT-0. Third party code must be available under an open source licence that allows public sharing. Participants must open source their solutions before they receive official private evaluation scores.

The organizer says its goal is to increase the number of AI researchers exploring new ideas and to make progress toward AGI freely available to the research community. Prizes are awarded at the discretion of ARC Prize, Inc. and are subject to review by its technical team.
