The OpenCV AI Competition 2026 is run by the OpenCV Foundation with Amazon Web Services as sponsor. The total prize pool is $20,250.
First place takes $5,000, second place $3,000 and third place $2,000. There is a $1,000 Best Use of COOL Award and a $1,000 Agentic Vision Award. Fifty five entrants also receive AWS compute grants of $150 each.
The competition is open to anyone above the legal age of majority where they live, from all countries and territories, with the standard exceptions listed in the rules. It runs fully online on Devpost.
Registration opened on August 12, 2026 and proposal submission opened the next day. The build phase runs from August 26 to October 26, 2026. Final submissions are due on October 26, 2026 at 23:59 Pacific Time. Judging runs from October 27 to November 9, and winners are announced on November 10, 2026.
