CancerX Accelerator 2027 cohort for digital cancer care startups
Six month CancerX Accelerator for digital and AI cancer care startups. No equity, no fee. Applications close 30 November 2026.
The CancerX Accelerator is a six month program for startups that build digital tools for cancer care. CancerX is a public and private partnership hosted by Advocate Health and Moffitt Cancer Center. Applications for the 2027 cohort were first due on 1 October and have now been extended to 30 November 2026 at 5 PM ET.
The program takes no equity and charges no application fee. Startups are matched with champion organizations, which include health systems, cancer centers, payers, drug companies and investors. They work with clinical, commercial and innovation teams at these partners, get feedback from real customers and can test their product in healthcare settings. They also get mentors with digital health and oncology experience and a mix of online and in person events.
To apply, a startup needs a validated product that is ready to scale, with at least one pilot already launched or completed in the market. The announcement adds that the product should be tested with at least 50 patients. You apply by creating an account on CancerX's Constellation platform, which is linked from the accelerator page.
The 2027 cohort has three themes: access to clinical trials and research, access to good cancer care wherever patients live, and smarter care operations that take load off staff. Across all themes CancerX gives extra weight to work on reducing the financial burden of treatment and on expanding cancer screening.
Applications are judged on fit with the themes, product market fit, the founding team and the possible impact. Teams that pass the first round fill in a second application and pitch to the champions. CancerX says the dates for pitch days and the cohort announcement will be shared soon.
