BEAM Circular Accelerator 2027

BEAM Circular Accelerator 2027 gives five bioeconomy startups $30,000 that takes no equity, with a possible $100,000 investment on top. Apply by 10 January 2027.

The BEAM Circular Accelerator 2027 backs five startups working on the circular bioeconomy. It is run by the nonprofit BEAM Circular with gener8tor and is based in the North San Joaquin Valley of California, a farming region with a growing biomanufacturing cluster.

Selected teams receive $30,000 that does not take equity. They may also receive an additional $100,000 equity investment, and more mature companies may seek larger venture funding. The program gives 12 weeks of coaching from the gener8tor team every two weeks, meetings with more than 100 mentors and investors, and a pitch night. Teams also get access to BEAM Circular partners, including Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and University of California faculty.

Startups from anywhere in the world can apply. BEAM Circular wants to invest in companies with a path to real job creation and operations in the North San Joaquin Valley. The focus is on solutions that cut or prevent waste and pollution, especially startups that make chemicals, materials, energy, food ingredients or consumer products from biomass taken from waste streams or farm byproducts. The page asks for a scalable business model and founders who are committed to their mission.

Recruitment began on 7 September 2026. Applications are due on 10 January 2027. First round interviews start on 4 January 2027. The program starts on 4 March 2027 and ends on 28 May 2027. You apply through the Airtable form linked from the program page.
