Antler Japan residency November 2026

Antler Japan invests up to $400,000 at inception, starting with $150,000 after six weeks in Tokyo. The next residency starts 2 November 2026.

Antler Japan is an inception residency for founders who want to build in Tokyo. The Japan page says to apply now. The cohort start dates page lists the next Japan residency as 2 November 2026 in Tokyo, and it says those dates are start dates, not deadlines.

Antler invests up to $400,000 at inception, starting with $150,000 after six weeks. That first ticket is $100,000 for 10 percent equity, plus $50,000 through an uncapped SAFE with a most favored nation clause. On the next institutional round, Antler commits 50 percent of the amount raised, up to $250,000. Later capital can reach $25 million through Antler Elevate.

The residency is in person and full time. It is mainly in English, and Japanese speaking founders are welcome. Teams must already have an idea and be able to explain the problem, the customer, what they have tested, and what they will test next. Fewer than 5 percent of applicants are selected. Antler aims to answer within two to three weeks.

There is no fee to join. Founders pay their own travel and living costs in Tokyo. Antler does not sponsor visas, but it can introduce a paid third party agency. From the day of acceptance, founders can use $4 million in technical perks, including GPU credits and AI tools.

Apply on the Antler application form.
