EuroHPC AI for Science and Collaborative EU Projects Access: 30 October 2026 cut off

EuroHPC gives researchers in Europe six months of supercomputer time for science projects that use AI. The next cut off is 30 October 2026, then 11 December.

The EuroHPC AI for Science and Collaborative EU Projects Access call gives compute time on European supercomputers to scientific work that relies on AI. The focus is on ethical AI, machine learning, foundation models and generative AI, including large language models, used as part of a research workflow.

Awards are given in node hours on the EuroHPC systems LUMI, Leonardo, MareNostrum5 and MeluXina. Each allocation runs for six months, and access starts at most one month after the cut off date. The page notes that some partitions may be unavailable at the time you apply because of high demand.

The call is open to all kinds of scientific users, whether or not they already have national or European funding, and to public sector users. Industrial users can apply only when they take part in R&I projects funded by EU programmes such as Horizon Europe or the Digital Europe Programme. Applicants must be established in an EU Member State or in a third country associated to Horizon 2020, the Digital Europe Programme or Horizon Europe.

The call stays open, and each cut off date starts an evaluation of the proposals received so far. The remaining dates in 2026 are 30 October and 11 December, both at 10:00 CET. A proposal has two parts, an online form on the EuroHPC access platform and a Project Scope and Plan document. Use the latest template from the call page, because an outdated version leads to administrative rejection. For the October cut off, decisions are expected at the end of November and access runs from December 2026.
