HackMeridian 2026: Stellar hackathon in Lisbon

HackMeridian is a two day Stellar hackathon in Lisbon on 25 and 26 October 2026, with up to $30,000 in XLM in prizes.

HackMeridian 2026 is a two day in person hackathon for building on Stellar. It takes place on 25 and 26 October 2026 at ONE16 in Lisbon, Portugal, right before the Meridian conference of the Stellar Development Foundation.

Prizes total up to $30,000 in XLM across two tracks. The organizers say the final breakdown is announced before the event. Top projects can pitch on the Meridian main stage, and the site says they move forward with funding pathways, mentorship and partnerships in the Stellar ecosystem.

There are two tracks. Genesis is for first time founders, emerging builders and domain experts who start from an idea or an early prototype. Scale is for experienced founders, developers and product teams with a working product or advanced prototype who want to integrate Stellar. Experience on Stellar is not required for either track.

You apply through the registration page linked from the site. You pick a track and describe what you are building and why Stellar fits. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and the organizers say earlier is better. No closing date is published. Solo applicants are welcome, and the team helps with team formation at the start of the event.

Smart contracts, smart accounts and cross chain transfers are the top priorities this year. AI coding tools are allowed. Travel support and a limited number of hostel beds are available for selected participants, based on availability and need. Judges look at what each team actually built, and a clear README with specs is expected.
