Enterprise Ireland offers a €40 million pool for Irish consortia developing disruptive technology. Apply by 3 February 2027.

The Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund Call 8 is open for applications. The Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment manages the fund, and Enterprise Ireland administers it. Call 8 offers €40 million in competitive funding.

Consortia apply through the Enterprise Ireland submission system. Applications opened on 1 October 2026 and close on 3 February 2027 at 15:00 Irish time. The deadline was extended from 31 January 2027.

Each consortium needs at least three partners based in Ireland, including at least one SME and one other enterprise. Every partner must be a client of Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, or Údarás na Gaeltachta, or an eligible research performing organisation. Irish semi state organisations and public bodies may join as partners who are not funded, if the consortium still has at least three other eligible partners.

The minimum funding request is €1.5 million for a project of up to three years. SME partners must provide matched funding. Large companies must provide 60% of project funding. Projects must aim at industrial research or experimental development, with commercialisation over 3 to 7 years.

Applicants must pass an eligibility check before they submit a proposal. Independent panels score quality of the disruptive technology, excellence of the overall approach, economic impact and sustainability, and strength of the collaboration.
