MIT Solve 2027 Global Challenges
MIT Solve picks tech teams for a nine month support program with a $10,000 grant each and access to over $1M in prizes. Apply by 2 November 2026.
MIT Solve 2027 Global Challenges is an open call for tech based solutions in four areas: climate, health, learning and economic prosperity. There is also an Indigenous Communities Fellowship. Selected teams become Solvers and join a nine month support program.
Every selected Solver team gets a $10,000 grant from Solve, and teams can reach a pool of more than $1 million in prize funding. Solve says Solver teams receive an average of $40,000 each. Named prizes include the AI for Humanity Prize of up to $150,000 and the E Ink Innovation Prize of $100,000. Some prizes are only for US based teams.
Solutions must be at prototype, pilot, growth or scale stage. Concept stage ideas are only reviewed for the Indigenous Communities Fellowship. Past Solvers may apply again with a new solution.
Applications opened on 22 September 2026 and all challenges close on 2 November 2026 at 12:00 pm EST. You apply on each challenge page after logging in.
The program includes workshops, leadership coaching, pro bono resources and pitch events.
