BlueDot Impact Rapid Grants

BlueDot Impact gives up to $20,000 for a next step in AI safety or biosecurity work, with most applicants hearing back within a week.

BlueDot Impact runs a Rapid Grant of up to $20,000 for people taking a promising next step in AI safety or biosecurity. The form takes about 15 minutes. BlueDot says it replies within a day on average and that nine in ten applicants hear back within a week.

There is no deadline and no cohort. Applications are reviewed as they arrive.

BlueDot says an applicant is more likely to be funded if they have taken part in a BlueDot course, are an alumnus, have facilitated a course or are an active member of the community. It is not a formal requirement.

The program sits next to the larger Career Transition Grant from the same organisation, which pays up to $200,000 for full time work on a career move. The rapid grant is for smaller and faster requests.

On September 4, 2026 the funder Coefficient Giving, previously called Open Philanthropy, wrote on its career development and transition funding page that it had handed that program to BlueDot Impact and made BlueDot a grant to support this work, and pointed applicants to BlueDot's rapid grants and career transition grants.
