
BlueQubit Quantum Flywheel 2026: $150,000 in quantum and AI compute
BlueQubit is giving $150,000 of quantum, GPU and AI compute to research teams for three months. The open call runs for about five weeks.
BlueQubit has opened the Quantum Flywheel grant program, a $150,000 pool of compute for quantum research teams. The program is supported by IBM, Amazon Web Services and NVIDIA.
Selected teams get three months of continuous access to cloud compute. That includes QPU time on IBM quantum computers, NVIDIA GPU instances and large core CPU machines on AWS, frontier AI research and coding assistants, and the BlueQubit platform with GPU accelerated simulation.
There are three research tracks. The first is developing and testing new quantum algorithms on IBM hardware for quantum advantage in simulation and optimisation. The second is adversarial classical simulation using tensor networks and Pauli path methods to check quantum advantage claims. The third is using frontier AI agents to find and evaluate new quantum error correction codes.
Proposals are collected over a window of four to five weeks, after which BlueQubit selects the teams. The build and run phase then lasts three months and ends with published results. The call page does not give an exact closing date.
Applications go through the form linked from the Quantum Flywheel page. BlueQubit asks teams to say how much compute they need and what they will use it for.
