The Fast Forward 2027 Accelerator is a three month program for early stage tech nonprofits. Selected organizations receive $25K+ in unrestricted funding and mentorship from leaders in tech and social impact. Fast Forward describes itself as the first and only nonprofit accelerator for tech nonprofits.
Applicants need a nonprofit business model and a minimum viable product that is already built. Fast Forward also looks at the vision of the leadership, whether tech talent sits in the right roles, the potential for impact, whether the software can scale, the team's lived experience of the problem, and the fit with Fast Forward's expertise.
The application deadline was extended to 11:59pm PT on Friday, September 18, 2026. Interviews take place from October to December and final notifications go out by the end of 2026.
The program runs from mid February to early June 2027, with sessions twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays and about 8 to 10 hours of work per week. At least one founder must attend every virtual session and the in person sessions in San Francisco in late February and late May. Demo Days are in late May and early June 2027, in person and virtual. The program is international but is conducted entirely in English.
