Web3 for Social Good Hackathon 2026 at SMU Singapore has a USD 20,000 prize pool. Submit an idea or a prototype on DoraHacks by 25 October 2026.
The Web3 for Social Good Hackathon 2026 is run by the School of Computing and Information Systems at Singapore Management University (SMU), together with the GSR Foundation and the University of Málaga. Its theme is "From Vision to Impact: Building Web3 for Social Good". The DoraHacks page lists a prize pool of USD 20,000.
There are two tracks. The Idea Track asks for original Web3 ideas that address a social or public challenge, and no prototype is needed at the first stage. The Tech Track asks for a working Web3 prototype or demo. Example topics include donation tracking, public goods funding, aid distribution, digital identity, community governance and climate apps.
The hackathon is open to students, researchers, Web3 developers, founders and social innovators, from technical or non technical backgrounds. Register and submit your project on DoraHacks. The submission deadline is 25 October 2026.
Shortlisted teams are announced on 26 October and refine their projects with mentors until 25 November. Shortlisted Idea Track teams must submit a final idea description by 23 November and get AI assisted coding support to build a prototype. Finalists present online or in person at SMU in Singapore on 26 November 2026, where the awards are given.
Judges score social impact and problem relevance (30%), solution quality (25%), innovation and meaningful use of Web3 (20%), feasibility and sustainability (15%) and the pitch or demo (10%).
