New Ventures in Creative Tech (Spark) is an open call from EIT Culture and Creativity for early stage founders in cultural and creative technology. The call opened on 6 October 2026. The deadline is 16 November 2026 at 17:00 CET.
Each selected venture concept can receive up to EUR 30,000. EIT may reimburse up to 100 percent of eligible costs. Costs already paid by another EU programme cannot be claimed again. The call can support up to 35 business concepts, and the page lists EUR 1,050,000 in total EIT funding. This round focuses on materials and the built environment, covering fashion and architecture.
You can apply as an individual or as a team. You must not already have a registered company for this concept, and you must be ready to turn it into a scalable for profit venture. You need to be registered in an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe associated country. You must already be testing, building, or validating a tech solution in material innovation, hardware, or digital tools.
Selected founders take part in an in person startup sprint of two or three days in a European city. The city is not named on the call page. After that they join a nine month online incubation with a coach, mentors, workshops, and technology partnerships. By month 3 they must incorporate a new company, obtain a PIC, and complete EIT Community Onboarding.
Apply on the form linked from the call page. It is open from 6 October 2026 until the deadline. Online information sessions are on 20 October 2026 and 10 November 2026, both at 10:00 CET. Evaluation runs from November 2026 through January 2027. Applicants hear at the beginning of February 2027, and results are published in March 2027.
