The Expo App Awards 2026 is the second edition of Expo's awards for the best apps built with Expo.
There are five categories: App of the year, Most creative, Community's choice, Largest scale and Most innovative. App of the year wins $1,000 of Expo credit and winner apparel. Category winners receive a handcrafted metal cube. Community's choice is decided by an open poll on X, and Most innovative is meant for indie teams, startups and anyone trying something new.
Any app built with Expo can enter. The limit is one submission per person.
Submit through the button on the awards page. Expo encourages entrants to describe the technical details of their app.
Submissions are open from 5 to 31 October 2026. Finalists are announced on 6 November and winners on 13 November.

Who judges the entries?
The Expo team reviews each submission by hand, using a mix of objective criteria and subjective judgment. There are no outside reviewers and no appeals.
