Build the next Git platform on Cloudflare 2026

Cloudflare offers $25,000 in credits for a new Git platform built with Workers and Artifacts. Submit by 14 October 2026.

Build the next Git platform on Cloudflare is a competition from Cloudflare, Inc. The first place team receives $25,000 in Cloudflare credits, valid for 12 months from the date the prize is awarded, plus an invitation to the VIP speaker dinner. The official rules give that dinner an approximate retail value of $200. Three finalist teams are selected.

The contest opened on 1 October 2026 at 9:00 AM EDT and ends on 14 October 2026 at 11:59 PM PDT. The submit page says submissions close on 14 October and that winners will be announced on 16 October. Neither the blog, the competition page, nor the submit form says the contest is closed.

You build the project with Cloudflare Workers and Artifacts. It must let multiple agents work on changes at the same time. A submission needs a 5 to 10 minute demo video, a link to the source code, and instructions for running the project. The code must be licensed under the MIT License, the Apache License 2.0, or the BSD 2-Clause or 3-Clause License, and the repository must include a LICENSE file. Each entrant may submit only once.

Entrants must be legal residents of the United States or Canada and at least 18 on 1 October 2026. The contest is void outside those two countries. Cloudflare employees and their households cannot enter, and neither can employees of a government department, agency, public sector enterprise, or state owned entity.

Judges score originality and quality of the prototype for agent oriented software collaboration at 50 percent, multi agent coordination at 25 percent, and ease of use at 25 percent. Finalists each get 10 minutes on stage at Cloudflare Connect, Moscone West, San Francisco, on 21 October 2026. The potential winner must be physically present there. Apply on the competition submit page. Artifacts is in open beta for customers on the Workers Paid plan. Billing for Artifacts usage begins on 15 October 2026, which is not the contest deadline.
