Geoapify Open Geospatial Program Batch 2
Geoapify pays a EUR 300 sponsorship, plus EUR 500 bonuses, for open geospatial projects that use its APIs with AI. Apply by 20 October 2026.
Geoapify Open Geospatial Program Batch 2 asks people to build open projects that use Geoapify OpenAPI specifications, the Geoapify MCP server, or both, together with AI coding tools or agents. Selected completed projects receive a EUR 300 sponsorship. Each batch also pays a EUR 500 bonus for the best tutorial or article, and a EUR 500 bonus for the best app, agent, or workflow. Selected projects also get extended API access and a mention on Geoapify channels.
The work can be a full application, an agent, a developer tool, a script, a workflow, or an experiment. It does not have to be a finished product. The result should be public, under an open source license, with a README that explains how to run it. A public tutorial and a note on what the AI did well are part of the final submission. Geoapify provides an API key after selection.
Developers, students, data analysts, and technical creators can apply, alone or as a team. Any language is allowed. An existing project can enter if it has not been in this program before. The preferred payout is a EUR bank transfer by SEPA. Other methods are checked case by case. Payments can be blocked by sanctions rules.
Send a proposal by email to projects@geoapify.com using the template on the program page. Applications opened on 1 October 2026 and close at 23:59 UTC on 20 October 2026. The finished project is sent after selection. Batch 1, on maps and places, closed on 10 June 2026.
