Nebraska Innovation Fellowship

The Nebraska Innovation Fellowship is a 20 week program from Nebraska Innovation Studio at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Fellows receive a $2,500 credit for project parts and consumables at the studio, use of advanced equipment and software, training, and help from paid interns. The studio says it has added $2 million of robotics equipment.

The page says anyone with an idea to build can apply, including people outside a university. Robotics is a focus, and there is no specialized project requirement. You must be 18 or older, live in Nebraska, and have regular transport to Nebraska Innovation Studio at 2021 Transformation Drive, Suite 1500, Entrance B, Lincoln. The application form asks you to confirm the age and residency rule.

The program plans eleven events, about two required in person events a month, plus weekly office hours and open build time. The studio estimates about 4 hours a week. Fellows must stay active in the program to keep the benefits.
