SerpApi India Hackathon 2026

SerpApi is running the SerpApi India Hackathon 2026 for people who live in India. The event is online. It began on September 1, 2026 at 00:00 IST, and submissions close on October 5, 2026 at 23:59 IST. SerpApi published the announcement on September 22, 2026.

The site describes prizes worth ₹3 lakh or more. The rules say the competitive pool includes ₹2,00,000 in cash and 115,000 SerpApi credits, which SerpApi values at US$1,150 of usage. First place is ₹1,00,000 plus 15,000 credits. Second place is ₹40,000 plus 10,000 credits. Third place is ₹20,000 plus 10,000 credits. Each of six tracks awards 10,000 credits. Each official partner community awards ₹10,000 plus 5,000 credits. Every valid submission receives 1,000 credits. A project can receive only one competitive award. The credit amounts are usage value, not cash.

Each participant must be at least 18 years old and must reside in India. You can enter alone or in a team of no more than five. Any programming language is allowed. New projects and existing projects are both allowed when SerpApi makes a material contribution to what the project does. SerpApi employees, contractors, affiliates, and their immediate family or household members cannot receive awards.

Submit on the hackathon website. Sign in with GitHub, add a public repository with setup instructions, and add a screen recording under three minutes that shows the project running locally. Name any AI tools you used. AI use does not change the scores. Judges review idea strength, originality, technical complexity, usefulness, and how much the project depends on SerpApi.
