Since AI Hackathon 2026 is a 72 hour in person hackathon at EduCity in Turku, Finland. It runs from November 6 to November 8, 2026, and entry is free. The prize pool is €50,000 in cash.
The prizes are a €10,000 Grand Prize, 15 company challenge awards of €2,000 each, €4,000 for Best Technical Execution, €3,000 for Best Responsible AI and €3,000 for Best Commercial Potential.
Teams work on 15 challenges set by partner companies, among them Google for Developers, Bayer, Sandvik, Kongsberg and Valmet. Google and LUMI give participants compute and GPU access during the event. It is an official MLH 2026 season event.
The event is open to builders worldwide above the legal age of majority. You must apply and be accepted. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and early ones get priority. Registration stays open until the event begins.
A submission needs a working prototype, a repository, a demo video of at most 2 minutes, and a note on any pre existing assets. Judges weigh technical execution at 30%, challenge fit and impact at 25%, innovation at 20%, the prototype at 15% and responsible implementation at 10%.
