MLAI Hackathon 2026

MLAI Hackathon 2026 is run by Mang Luoi AI, the AI Network in Vietnam, together with Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and with support from OpenAI. The prize pool is 24,000,000 Vietnamese Dong plus OpenAI API credits and ChatGPT Pro subscriptions.

Teams build AI solutions for five sectors: healthcare, education, finance, smart cities and operations optimisation. The work is split across three competition tracks.

First place gets 10 million VND and $500 in OpenAI credit. Two second places get 5 million VND and $250 in credit each. Three third places get 3 million VND and $150 in credit each. Six encouragement prizes get 1 million VND and $50 in credit each.

Only students from the 23 member institutions of the AI Network in southern Vietnam can join. Teams have one to four members, and every participant must be above the legal age of majority where they live.
