Monad Metropolis 2026

Monad Metropolis is a six week online hackathon with a $250,000+ prize pool for products built on Monad. Submissions close 13 October 2026.

Monad Metropolis is a six week online hackathon from the Monad Foundation. Registration and the build window opened on 1 September 2026. The submission deadline is 13 October 2026. Judging runs from 14 to 27 October, and winners are due on 3 November. The stated prize pool is $250,000+ across four tracks, a grand champion award, and sponsor bounties.

Each of the four tracks has a $30,000 prize pool split evenly between three teams: Onchain Finance and Trading; Consumer Products and Payments; Social, Attention and Culture; and Trust, Identity and AI Infrastructure. The grand champion, picked across all tracks, receives $25,000. Sponsor prizes sit on top of those amounts. Top teams may also be invited to a residency and into DeltaV, Monad's builder support programme.

Anyone building a product on Monad can take part, including solo builders. You do not need prior onchain experience. The event is online and open globally, with extra one day meetups in cities such as Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and London. You can bring an existing project if the work you show on 13 October was built during the six weeks. Open source is encouraged but not required. Judges need to be able to verify what you built.

Submit a working product with a public project profile: a demo, a short write up, and a link to the code. Register on the Metropolis hackathon site. Country limits, if any, are listed in the official rules on that platform.
