Arbitrum Audit Program

The Arbitrum Audit Program offers $10M in ARB worth of grants and investments over 12 months to subsidise third party smart contract audits. The Arbitrum Foundation launched it on August 1, 2025 after approval by the DAO, and the foundation's grants page lists it as active and managed by the foundation.

The program is for early stage projects in the Arbitrum ecosystem. That includes projects that have not launched yet, projects migrating from another chain, projects already running on Arbitrum One and teams launching their own Arbitrum chain. Only new codebases or code that has been significantly modified qualify for a subsidy.

The subsidy can cover part or all of an audit. The level depends on the scope of the audit, the availability of auditors and the outcome of the negotiation with the audit firm.

Projects apply through a standardised form that asks about the project, the team, the audit scope and the budget. The Arbitrum Audit Committee reviews applications on a rolling basis, so there is no fixed deadline.

The foundation says the program exists because early stage projects often have to choose between spending a large share of their capital on security and launching without a proper audit.
