The Open Accelerator Residency opens applications for its next cohort on September 15, 2026. The Open Accelerator is an AI hub in Boston run by Red Hat and IBM. The cohort starts on February 1, 2027 and runs for 16 weeks in Fort Point, Boston.

The residency takes five to ten startups per cohort. Founders work on site four days a week. The program includes investment from IBM Ventures, workspace, mentorship and GPU access. Startups work with Red Hat, the Massachusetts AI Hub and IBM Ventures on their product, architecture, go to market plan and readiness for enterprise customers.
